How To Send Winfax Pro Reports To Sabrearc - Configuration Detail

Winfax Pro is capable of producing reports for all sent / received fax's.
To enable archiving of these reports - to allow auditing of sent / received fax's - please follow these guidelines.
This FAQ presumes that a SabreArc and WinFax Pro 10 installation is complete and working.

1) Ensure you have the faxlog DSD file and make a PSX file from this using the correct version of the Dataset Designer. Check that FDI server is running and that the PSX file has been sucessfully imported into the system and that there are no GUI clashes.

2) Create a new Printer with the name "FAXLOG" on a standard TCP/IP port using the custom options for this if needed. Ensure that the IP address for the port is that of the server in which FDI Server runs on. Ensure that LPR is selected as default.

3) Open up WinFax Pro Message Manager and select "Tools" then "Program Setup".

4) Select the "Send" option and then the "After Send" option.

5) Tick the box marked "Print a send confirmation page" and the click the "Setup" button.

6) Select which details you wish to print on the confirmation report.

7) Click the "Setup" button and select "FAXLOG" printer in the next window as the printer to print to.

8) OK all these choices and close the Message Manager down.

You are now set up to send WinFax Pro reports to SabeArc for archival purposes.
